The staff were very frıendly, hospıtable and accomodatıng. Upon checkıng ın we were welcomed wıth a fruıt bowl. The hotel was very clean. We were dısappoınted as we expected to be able to use the pools but as the hotel has recently opened the pool requıred a certıfıcate of health and safety from the authorıtıes before ıt could be used. The front desk manager made up for thıs by provıdıng us wıth a free VIP shuttle servıce to Sultan Ahmet and back plus two free aırport transfers. The servıce they provıded was better than any other 5* Hotel that I had been to ın Istanbul.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, for any request and information. The hotel and the room are really amazing. Everything is new and modern. The hotel is very close to Atatürk airport and they have a free shuttle to the airport. I absolutely recommend this hotel if you look for an accomodation close to the airport.

My room was beautifully designed and spacious. The bathroom was luxurious and the bed was very comfortable and a breakfast included was first rate.
Unfortunately diagonally across the street from the hotel, was a dance club the stayed open to at least 4am. And the beat of the music and the voices of patrons leaving the club made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep

I was upgraded so had very good room. Rooms are new and clean. Very close to airport and shuttle is provided. There is a mall right across the street which has very good restaurants. Breakfast was very nice.
Airport shuttle person did not show up for half an hour. Then he was walking around with hotel sign in his hand (not holding it up) and didnt even had my name. Ran to him and caught him so he complained that hotel never gave me ur name "they forgot you" he said. Hotel manager upgraded my room

Facilities of gonen are amazing , Excelent breakfast with pool and garden view .
We requested an extra bed but they used the sofa bed as an extra bed which was uncomfortable with us . Nothing more .

Access to gym facility is conditionned by having regular sport schoes. This is ok but it has to be mentionned in the conditions.

The rooms are clean and nice
I specifically arranged for airport transfer and also dropped an email to remind the hotel staff. Despite that, there was no one at the airport and we ended up waiting for a long time. The only reason we chose Istanbul Gonen was for its proximity to the airport so that we could maximize our rest time after a late arrival. This was not possible due to the hotel's tardiness. I also highlighted the need for a third bed in the room during reservation. No follow up from the hotel on this request. Upon arrival, they finally agreed to add the bed, but it took them another 40 minutes to set it up in my room. Following the delay of the shuttle and the delay of setting up a bed, I lost over 2 hrs, defeating the purpose of paying for the hotel to maximize sleep time.

Our visit to Istanbul was a flight stop-over at the beginning and end of our trip, we chose the Gonen for it's location to the airport and room price, we had free transfers to and from the hotel. The hotel was lovely and the staff were most helpful, I would definitely like to go back and have more time to enjoy the hotel and see Istanbul.
